When I bought my 300 I was told the chain was new and It looked it. I seem to have to adjust the chain often and I am about at the end on the adjustment limit after 6 months of limited riding.

Questions. Do chains stretch this much? this fast?

Could this be a cheap chain?

Any recommendations.

Thanks

Check to see if it is an O-ring chain. Non )-ring chains are cheap and don't last on quads because of the force of the rear end compared to motorcycles. Aquick way to check a chain is to grab it on the rear sprocket at about 3 o'clock and pull it away from the sproket. If you can stick a pencil between the chain and aprocket it is shot. this is alot easier than mesasuring if the chain has streched.

it will stretch more that usual if u have it too tight, it has to have about and inch of slack on both sides so it doesent break or stretch on hard landings and bumps
