300EX No Battery

OK well I blew my motor again.... and so I have had the fourwheeler in the shop at our school for like 2 weeks. I got the motor done just waiting on paint and i just painted the frame, a arms and swingarm. I am wondering what do i need to do to have no battery. I made my 300 motor into a kickstart since my starter went to hell. Can i just unplug the wriring from the main harness or what? I dont need the extra weight of the battery if im not even gonna use it. What does everyone think. Can it be done? Will I still have the light? As long as the charging system is still on there should still be light right? I need some help..

I would say get a 250x bottom end it is close to the same. Since you have the 300ex stuff I would switch it all to the bottom. You may have to change the electrical also to use the bottom with the stator and such. I am not usre though. I would try to check out the hybrid sect. adn see if there is any other help there. good luck steve
