'88 250r For Sale ..... Maryland

Here it is. I have decided to throw it out there and see what happens. I tore it all this past fall and rebuilt it. The quad is a '88 model with a '86 motor. The entire bottom end was rebuilt with new rod, bearings, and fully balanced. It has about 18hrs on it and runs strong as hell. I just put a new forged 269 piston,rings,wristpin bearing in it due to the fact that I want it fresh for selling it. The frame is absolutely perfect. I got it from Tys88r. He sold it to buy a Lonestar chromoly frame. It was powder coated black and powdered clear over that back in May,2008.
When I built it, it turned into one of those snowballing projects and I took it a little overboard for what I was originally going to do. I have well more than this in it but if any of you are interested in it I will take $3700 obo No Trades Please.

hey man what heel guards do you have on there? what are they from and how did you mount them. Nice quad by the way i wish you luck getting it sold.

They are for a 450r made by Tusk. They aren't too bad to get on. Mainly just have to re-bend the top bracket to go inwards to the subframe, then bolt it up.

hey man i saw how you bolted the one side up. to the chain roller bolt. but how did you bolt up the other side?

The other side I had to drill a hole and put a sleeve in the sub frame. They are very sturdy, especially once they are bolted to the frame.
