Month old ltr 450 knocking bad

Just got a new ltr 450 a month ago was riding it hard came to a stop when i did sounded like my motor was coming apart idled off kinda in first whole time through low-mid rpm sounded like a war going off in my motor. To me it sounded like a cam chain but im no mechanic just had similar sounds to when it happend to my ltz 400. called the guy he thought it was coming from my clucth...anyone had any problems like that?:mad:

would be better if could hear it but if its only a month old i would take it back to the dealer to get them to fix it

yeah man its at the place right now im bout to get the extended warranty too im just wondering if anyone has had any problems like that or with a suzuki 450

are you using 93 octane?

It should have a 6 month warranty!

Take that thing back to the dealer if thats where you got it for some warranty work.....The LTR engines are pretty stout from my experiences and knowing many locals with them.

yes ive only ran 93 and it only started doing it after i was getting on it on a straight away...and yes it has a 6 month warranty im bout to get it extended for another year atleast and they are fixing it for free cause of the warranty but still havent let me know what it was yet told me they have to have a certain kind of mechanic to work on it

i think that is a load of bull crap a certain kind of mechanic never heard of that one they prolly want to keep it for a while for your warranty to just about expire those kind of people make me mad but correct me if im wrong do they have a "CERTAIN KIND OF MECHANIC?"

Thats BS.....any mechanic can do it with the manual in front of them.

man iono kinda does make sense though using a certain mechanic you have to rem. everything has been carburated until a year or 2 back hasnt been long....no they wont keep my quad long i call almost every single day and i just got another quad out from there so theyve heard from me constantly for about 3 weeks ha and they know ill show my *** in a heartbeat about this ha

i had mine blow up about 5 months into it......they said the rings were not properly set when the top end was installed. $1700 worth of work and suzuki took care of it, the dealer tried to blame me with dirty filters and such. bs. the cylinder wall had ripples down it smooth as can be like a woop section, never seem dirt do that.... plus you could eat off just about any part of the thing:p

no i got on maybe an 1/8 mile straight away nailed it dont believe i even got it wide open 5th before i had to stop and as soon as i stopped i heard the knocking im calling them tommorow and tell them if they havent broke it down yet and even tried to see what was wrong with it imma coming to get it and take it somewhere else theyve had it a week tommorow and havent even started with it

thanks for everyones help they called me today and told me a bolt came out of my crank shaft and was rattling around in my clutch basket but some how it didnt mess anything up so theres my knocking haha i was like wtf haha :D
