which car and for what reason?

ok so i have it narrowed down to three cars. out of these three which would y'all choose and why? here are my thoughts..

s2000
Pros: rear wheel drive, most horsepower, good gas mileage.

Cons: only a one passenger vehicle, softop, most expensive

rx8
Pros: rear wheel drive, seats more than one passenger, good horsepower, hardtop

Cons: bad gas mileage...really bad gas mileage.

RSX Type-s
Pros: seats more than one passenger, great gas mileage.

Cons: front wheel drive, least powerful out of the three

i know there are alot more pros and cons to these cars, but these are the things i am paying most attention to. i have done quite a bit of research and i am leaning towards the s2k just cuz its the car i have wanted for a long long time now. basically my dream car. the other thing is that one of my biggest reasons for switching from a truck to one of these cars is gas mileage. the fact that the rx8 gets nearly the same mileage as my truck is a turn off.

i am buying used. i really want the CR edition which does come with a hardtop, but i am looking into an '05

In Consumer reports the RX-8 got a terrible rating.

You may wanna abide by that. They're usually pretty dead on.

i would do anything for a s2000 but it would have to have a solid roof other than that is a no go.

rsx, hands down. best interior and stylign of the three, and will probably a lot more reliable (s2k's are pretty reliable but the rx8s have tons of problems)

Not a fan of rotary and RX8 arent the easiest things to work with. For reliability look no further than Honda. S2k are so nice the way they handle and the power they have. If you really want to rape on some high end sports cars the 2jz swap is becoming really popular now for them. RWD, light, powerful, comfortable, reliable. RSX type S has a K20 in it which can get up and go too. Only downside is FWD. Its not bad having FWD but it would be better with RWD or AWD.

id say s2000,1 it looks awesome and you dont see a lot of them.
2. like you said has the most power and is RWD
3.it'll prolly hold its value good(id imagine)
4.you already know what you want and you just needed somebody to tell you that you want the s2000 just for confirmation,lol

you could always get a miata and put a lt1 in it,look it up on you tube,them things GET UP AND GOOOO LIKE NUTHN ELSE even if the motors stock!!!!!

my sister in-law has a rsx type-s manual and its bad *** haha, it'd deff be on my list if i was getting a car, its decently fast, good quality and good looking

my friends got a rx8 and its cool, it seems to handle better then the rsx, but hes got all kinds of stuff done to the car so that could be why. i think the motor sounds corny though like a tin can or something

another friends mom has a manual s2000 and we where driving it in his development one day, that thing does great 360s when you pull the e brake, the whole cars like a go cart, realllllly low and stable to the ground, but the insides cramped. it would have to be my last choice of the 3 imo

I'd look into subaru's as well. I've driven an RSX-S and both a regular WRX and the STI.

The RSX is a great car, it's smooth, looks good and is decent on gas. If your planning on mod's in the future, awd is great, not to mention subaru's sound sick with a good exhaust setup.

s2k ftw. my brother has one and its sweet. hes never had a problem. its amazing, and is one of the best handling cars ive ever drove, his has a power soft top and a reamovable hard top. the only real downside is 2 seats and it likes to slide some on ice.

rsx because the rx8 is nothing special not as fast as you would think. the s2k have weak rear ends so they dont do well if you are going to turbo or supercharge. if your not going to boost then get the s2k. cuz there sweet

I would go with the RSX type S.

Nice little cars. My dad was going to buy one but got a killer deal on a mazda protege 5 5 speed.

Rx8 for the engine and rwd and good looks.


Not to mention if you add a exhaust and pport the engine you will sound and idle just like this.
