01 400ex wont start

i have a 2001 400ex. it was sitting in storage for 4 months. went to start it nothing. so i got a new battery, still wont start drained the gas and cleaned the carb. still nothing. so i checked for spark has spark and has fuel. wont start. got my cousins cdi box tried it on mine still nothing. IM LOST

ok ypu got spark and you say you have fuel is the spark plug wet with fuel?

this morning i put a new plug and checked the fuse. still nothing. and yes the spark plug was wet

Sounds like the CDI if you have spark, a good fuse and a battery to turn it all over with.

ya thats what i thought to, but i tried my cousins cdi box and the same thing happens

it could have jumped its timing, you will have to check it

Try starting it up with some starting fluid.

When mine sits for a while, I fire it up with some starting fluid and then it is fine until it sits for a long period of time.
