Ive heard good things about Motowoz! But imo it goes Pep, Fox, Axis for the top 3... Never been a fan of elkas and ive heard some horror stories bout customer service and their abilities to valve a shock but there are always problems with unsatisfied customers from time to time

MX or XC?

a lot of guys use stock rebuilds, a cheaper way to go, and can get pretty close to aftermarkets.

for XC a lot of people use Axis and Fox.

MX a lot of people use Fox, PEP, and Motowoz is getting their name out.

Elka is junk. don't go that way.

I've ridden PEP, Axis, Elka, Ohlins, Ishock, Fox, & works.
I never rode motowoz, but they do look good.

I think PEP is by far the best! And I'm currently riding Elka's and have had no problems, I don't send them to Elka though! A local guy who does suspension for some baja trucks does mine.

HLS is all GTT. im not sure what the connection is with HMF, but all the internal valving and springs and the way they are build is GTT. but yes, EXTREMELY high quality stuff for EXTREMELY low price.

Hans and Laz from GTT joined forces on HLS. If thats the bike you got it doesnt look like anything needs changed at all! Thats a great shock/arm combo!

I personally like the PEPs. If you are short on cash tcs isnt a bad choice.
