i recently bought a pair of front shocks with the long extended travel mod done to them. I was wondering if there is a down side to this or something? How much travel do you gain with this?

i DONT KNOW HOW TO ATTACH A LINK BUT IF YOU GO TO DERISIRACING.COM UNDER SHOCK CONVERSIONS IT SAYS TRAVEL MOD INCREASE UP TO 2 INCHES OF WHEEL TRAVEL SO YES MAYBE 3/4 SHAFT TRAVEL AND BY THE TIME IT GETS TO THE WHEEL IT MIGHT BE 1.5-2.0 INCHES STILL IT IS MORE TRAVEL

I run Derisi rebuilds and love them! and yes, the mod does add almost 2 inches of WHEEL TRAVEL. Not shaft. I love the way the shocks ride. Mine need to be freshened up really bad tho. I put in 1.5 race seasons on then without a oil change, definelty is needed. Other than that. They are great. I use them for XC racing. Heres a quick pic.
