How about we start a thread, tribute if you will, about our great men and women who have served or currently serving in the U.S. Military. This can include videos, pictures, stories, experiences, etc, etc. etc. These people are true American heroes! Lets get something going for them to show our appreciation! NO HATERS PLEASE! Thank you!

I got tons of pictures and videos on my laptop from Iraq and Afghanistan. Even a few FF I don't have an upload site to post the video, Not that it matters since if I showed that video people would probably not like it since it is not like the movies. Firefights are much different for real than in Hollywood. Best way to describe one is Explosive aggresion and controlled caos, with brief periods of confusion mixed in.

I'll through some up tonight. Yes I am a soldier. Been a tanker for almost 19 years between Reserve, National Guard, and Active Duty in the Guard for Counterdrug Ops.
Been down range a few times for a total of 40 months between Iraqi freedom and Enduring freedom.

Can any one tell me how to post a video or picture directly on my post. I hate having to link these items to different sites! I would rather post them right here! Thank you.

That last video is 100% ture almost all of the guys I have met that came back or that I talk to (including my best friend) HATE it when people ask them about death. Out of respect no one should ask them that. They have gone through enough and if they want you to know they will tell you.

I did some Heavy QRF (Armor support) for those guys in Ramadi in06'.

That video pretty much nails it. I hate when People ask me if I killed anyone. My answer is: I was Infantry. My job was as a Tactical Diesmount team leader. When we hit IED's or got shot at my 4 man team would dismount the 1025's and clear the area. Did that for the first six months.
As Armor We controlled a route going into ArRamadi from the Army side, And provided Heavy QRF to the Infantry during Firefights.(Last 6 months in Iraq) You make the decision if I thumped a F****** Hadji.

I get sick of it. Between my time in Iraq and my time in Afghanistan People only want to know if I killed someone and what its like. IF you want to know so bad get off your punk a@# and enlist, Go to either on and try it. Just be ready for the Baggage that goes with it. Anybody that says they killed someone and it was awsome never really whacked another human being. Sorry to rant had to get it off my chest

Your friend Ross was a Patriot in every sense of the word! God bless him! As well as every American Soldier!

Kinda freaky reading his MySpace pro-file knowing that he is now deceased.

Actually looks like the American grease gun that Tankers used to have. When I first joined I had one of those and my sidearm was a colt 1911. (Showing my age I know.)

Where you find a Soldier; you usually find a grill.....

http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h239/abnmp13/SFCJohnsonandPFCKiddmonitoringthegr.jpg

Our quaint sleeping quarters, we lovingly called it a "circus tent" and it was home to over 100 of us. You were lucking to have one foot between you and the guy next to ya.

I acutally ran into my cousin over here in 2005. The last time I had seen him was about 20 years earlier. He joined right after high school and so did I. It was good to have family down the street even if he was a Field Artillery Warran Officer.
