I have a older set of leagers a arm,s from what i have read these are the balljoints i wanna use.

They are out of a 69-70-71 beetle.

Those look like the ones. But, I dont see any specs for them like threads per inch, diameter and what not!

Call Laegers. They gave me a name of a guy that sells those old ball joints. I'm sorry, I can't remember the name of them right now. Laegers told me the name of the company and the owner is a really cool guy. The ball joints he sells come zinc plated.

I tried going the route you did with the volkswagon bus tie rods and couldnt quite find the correct ones.

call laegers to varify the threaded size of the ball joint. if they are the 16mm type you can either get the ricky stator or the ones for a old ford corrier or mazda truck. all of which are 16mm and have the same thread size and pitch. i personally like the ricky stators as they allow the most travel.

Aren't most of the older ones 14mm tie-rods. I've read how guys tap the a-arms to accept 16mm tie-rods and the report them as being also stronger.

as death said, the old schooler's are 14mm's. I did this research a year ago with the same arms and bought a set from JB Racing up in Erie. He uses the automotive kind of 14mm'ers but takes em apart and re-works them to gain more travel than just one you can buy on the shelf. It's worth a call. He shipped them right out. 814-922-3523

Well see i dont want to pay $20 for on balljoint. My a ams take the 14mm shank, any body else know what will work?

THEY ARE OUT OF BUISNESS...THEY SOLD ME A +2 LOWER A-ARMS AND +1 TOP A-ARMS , AND NOW THERE CLOSED AFTER THEY SHIPPED THEM TO ME!! I GOT SCREWED!!!!!!!!!!!
