Well as of yesterday i was pretty sure i was going with the 426.... but the more i read, the more i am beginning to be weary of the heat issue! I do not plan on re-sleeving because of the $$ difference, so i was wondering if a 426 would be too much on a stock sleeve? walls are a little thinner, and i dunno how much difference that will make?? How much performance am i gaining with the extra 10cc's, and how bad would i be cutting into my reliability?? I plan on putting a cam on it, its already piped and has a uni filter w/ no airbox lid.. Any help will be greatly appreciated...

i did a 426 last year with no problems so far. only reason i went that big was because the guy i bought it from wasn't sure what bore was in it. if i had it to do over, i'd do a 416, NOT because of reliability, but so i'd have a bore left on the stock sleeve when it's time for a fresh top end.

make sure it's jetted correctly, and put a 4" SPAL fan on the oil cooler, you'll be fine.
