I would just get the cylinder, (a sponsor on 450r.org is running a special for around $200 I believe) and spend the other $200 on a Cp shelf piston and gasket kit. You'll come out cheaper and with a better piston.

oh okay im glad its that high. and loons if the cylinder is $200 and lets say shiping is $10 im gona spend right around $200(or more) for a 3+cp piston with shiping and a gasket kit is 50ish so we are more than likely runing right around $450-500 and i already bought the kit shipped for $440.95...but i do apreciate the idea really i do,and if i had more money to spend id get a dif. piston to put in it but im not looking to spend alot(already have spent to much).thanks yall

The Cylinder Works big bore kit for the 04/05 TRX450R's is stock compression, so 10.5:1. This was straight from a e-mail from Cylinder Works. (Once you see the piston you will believe it.) I run it along with a hot rod stroker crank. It actually runs pretty good, I was surprised for such low compression.

The piston is still a weiseco and a good piston. I just prefer the Cp. I run the cylinderworks 501 setup with the cp piston. Runs great. I'm sure the cylinderworks kit will be just fine. Enjoy.
