i have heard before that pro-x pistons and ART pistons are the same. supposedly ART makes most stock pistons for honda and yamaha. is this true? can anyone chime in and send me in the right direction? thanks. Corey

to my knowledge they arent manufactured by the same company but i could be wrong. however, art pistons can now be found in your high performance quads such as the LT450'S ect ect......

although i have wittnessed the art piston take its share of abuse and still remain intact i wouldnt use one in my 250R's. juss my .02.

I've recently bought a stock honda piston for my 250R and it has ART stamped on it, so I'd say that it is true that ART makes stock pistons for Honda as you said.

I rebuilt my top end 12 years ago with a art piston with just a hone job and still ice race that same motor today.

The piston/motor has been strong every year so I don't touch it. Now that I know I can get another art I might rebuild it (lol).
