i'm looking for a new head unit, the stock one is toast. something under $200, can somebody point me in the right direction?
i was looking at this alpine, but it doesn't have a cd player? i'd like it to have a usb out the back and full ipod control. it's gotta look okay too. thanks!

That Alpine does not have the CD player.

I would look into a Pioneer DEH-P6000UB

I love my Alpine but I really want an Equalizer so im going to go with the Pioneer I listed. The little remotes are nice too. The Alpine remotes are huge.

I've always ran pioneer head units and they've never let me down. I got one like your looking for for around 80 bucks on ebay.

I've had experience with only 3 so far in my life besides factory. Boss, Kenwood, and Sony. Boss makes good stuff, and Sony does too. You can get a Sony headunit with plenty of options for under $200. Kenwood is alright, I wouldnt buy a Kenwood again. Better than factory just for the features but other than that nothing special. Of course there are many different types from each brand. Besr bet is to go on Crutchfield.com and check out all the reviews on the stuff. You can narrow down your search with many options and its a great place to buy from.

I have the 4000 series Pioneer with USB and IPOD control. I don't have an IPOD myself, but instead I got a 8GB Flash Drive from Walmart for $20. It holds about 1200 MP3s. I am really happy with it.

ALPINE!:macho Didn't bother to look at which one you have picked out, but my personal experience deems Alpine the best.
