know anythign about .max files?

my sister scanned some pictures off my quads bt they are xxxxx.max and i can not open them...

Yeah, I think those are 3d studio max files, when your sis scans them in, she has to save them as .jpg, .gif, .tiff, or some other file type. .jpg is what I would suggest.

Someone when she hits scan, should be save as type: and a drop down.

Or when she hits save, click save as, and then .jpg...
