I hate to ask an exhaust question, so let me first say that I've been searching and have not found an answer.

Does anyone have, or know someone who has the AC Racing exhaust sysyem? It's one of several that I'm looking at, but I can't seem to find much info on them...

Nobody, huh?

I'm trying to compare these to Motoworks and LRD. I'm looking for something with great lowend and midrange, a built-in spark arrestor and would like to keep the volume down if possible.

I'm leaning towards the Motoworks system. Any thoughts?

Any idea on the difference between the standard Sparks system and the "Big Core" system?

the big core is 4 big bores but ppl still run it on stock motors but get it if u plan on getting a big bore in the furture

if you're just looking at the ac racing, lrd and motoworks.. get the lrd. ct racing & hmf are the best exhaust for the 400ex in my opinion.

I guess I'm open to ideas. I didn't ask about HMF since there is plenty of info already out there on them.

I guess I overlooked CT. Anyone care to share their thoughts on them?

i have tried way to many exhausts to remember....and when it comes to which pipe makes the best power, its HMF. i have dyno'd bikes and have seen a 2 to 3 hp difference from HMF to some others, including Curtis Sparks. not trying to start a "whats the best pipe" fight. i just have alot of experience building BIG motors and know what i have found that makes the best power on them

But does the same pipe that works best on a "big" motor also respond the best to an otherwise stock motor?

kind of, with a stock to slightly warmed over motor i would go with a slip on HMF, or a full system with the smaller header pipe

once you start adding thing like a bigger piston, cam, head work then you add the big header pipe.
that the great thing about HMF, different options
