well last summer i did the bearing carrier in my 300ex and took it on a trip and the inner lock nut came loose so i left it at my buddys and i thought he fixed it,and i had no time to ride last summer so i only rode it the one time,so anyways i just uncovered it today,most of the snow is gone now and i wanted to get her uncovered and what not well the inner lock nut is still loose any idea what it could be?

i posted this in the 300ex section but noone replyed so i thought i would post it here

pick up an anti fade locknut
there made to remedy that exact problem

i also heard that wrapping it up with some electrical tape or somthing like that will do the trick if you dont have the coin for a new anti fade locknut

Yup! You can wrap it with duct tape or electrical tape after you tighten it. Should do the trick!

well i was just out there messing with it and it wont seem to tighten. i didnt mess with it that much its still alittle cold here

it could be stripped. does it get almost tight then loosen up for no reason?? i'd say tighten as much as you can then tape it up til you get enough loot to buy a anti-fade.

no i havnt tryed what you guys said yet i havnt had the time

well i just went out and messed with it and i think it might be striped because it spins freely and i can shake it side to side. what do you guys think? if it is striped what all do i hvae to replace just the lock nut and c clips of the whole axle?
