hey guys, i have an 08 450R that i would like to put a slip-on exhaust on. I've have looked at a bunch of different pipes but can't decide which one i like. I was thinking possibly motoworks SR-4 but i've never heard what it sounds like. I have a HMF on my 400ex and i am looking for a pipe that's just a tad bit quieter than my hmf. so are there any good sounding pipes that don't need a quiet core, but won't make your ears bleed??? thanks.

just buy a hmf and get a quiet core for it.

i don't want to have to run a quiet core. i have one for my hmf on my 400ex and they sound like crap, are restrictive, and hold in a lot of heat...so that's why i'm lookin for a pipe that i wouldn't have to run a quiet core in. thanks.

any pipe you decide to go with that makes great power.... whether its a dasa, sparks, hmf, fmf, WHATEVER it is... aint gonna be quiet... and as far as your comment on hmf exhausts...:rolleyes:

You want something quiet... leave the stock one on there.

i'm not saying i don't like the sound of the HMF on my 400. i love the sound of the pipe, but don't like how it sounds with the quiet core in. i am also aware that most pipes that make good power are loud....i'm just curious if there are any out there that make decent power, but are not ear piercing.

I have the Q4 on my 06er and it is great much better sound and power than stock. Great build quality also My 2cents

I have a Motoworks SR4 Full System and I love the sound.

Pro circuit sells 94Db pipes for areas with sound limits.

i can retrofit a Stock CRF450 dirt bike silencer and it will sound awesome and make good power done it on a couple of 450Rs locally and they love them

I bought my 450r with a jardine exaust. It sounds good I just haven't heard anything about them.
