Somebody want to explain this for me?

Alright so just for sh*ts and giggles i decided to hook up my UHF/VHF antenna to see if it would do anything even though you need a digital converter box. Well i set the tv to channel search and i get channels 24 through 59 of my local cable company. They arent the clearest but whats the explanation for this? im not complaining at all just kinda curious how the h#ll this works.:rolleyes:

They pushed back the mandatory switch over date.

That still doesnt explain why i get cable tv through an antenna???
