honda oem plates and barnett springs, the pull will be hard. Some say that cr500 springs are softer, others say not. I have cr500 springs and no slipadge. Make sure you soak the plates for atleast 1 hour before you install them. Don't use any oil that contains friction modifiers, moly, or similar. Your clutch will quickly slip. Only use bel-ray, honda or similar wet-clutch transmittion oil. Engine oil rated for use in wet-clutch will work also. DON'T USE REGULAR MOTOR OIL.

The fiber plates need to be soaked overnight in wet clutch safe tranny oil. Just soak it in the same oil you plan on putting in the tranny...

its been a couple years since my last build, but I think I used CR500 plates, definetly CR500 springs.

soaking the plates for a few hours or overnight is key. I run Mobil 1 10w30, its fine. But do not use the high mileage version, thats the one with the friction modifiers that will mess stuff up...

i doubt your clutch is gonna be slipping in high gears. Go out on the pavement and try just givin it hell and ride all through the powerband and see if you can tell if its slipping. Stock springs should hold well to a stock machine. but unless you have a 404 big bore on that puppy just get stiffer springs from hinson and shim them in and you will be fine.

i suggest going back with another set of "soaked" clutches and see where that gets you. ;)

I just installed cr500 springs in my R. To me they feel identical to the heavy duty springs that were in it.
