o5 250ex all stock

its a real pain to get running when its cold, enough that it will kill the battery. its been like this since i bought it.

maybe the jetting is off? something with the carb i would think

that might be it
try and re jet it
if you live in a high altitude place that might be a problem

but once you get it running good, charge up that battery with a battery tender or get a new so it doesnt leave you with no power somewhere down the road

The "rubber" O rings and seals in the fuel supply selector valve and the carb. needle float valve and the fuel screen in the tank disintegrate causing a reduced fuel supply over time. Take the fuel line off turn on the fuel valve and see if it flows a full stream. Also, blow back thru the line into the tank to see if this temporarily cures your problem. Check your battery voltage while cranking, it should be well above 9 1/2 volts. One of the two should id your problem, if your engine is sound.
