I just bought a used lonestar axlefor my 450r. It has what appears to be surface rust on it due to being used in the dunes.. I was wondering if i have a chance of getting the rust of? is there any chemicles/pads anything like that that you guys have used to restore those aftermarket axles? Has anyone removed surface rust? Thanks guys!

I used a sos pad the ones with soap in them. Then you can re-polish,but I run xc so I put black tape on mine.

Lime Away, and sos pads will get that cleaned up. Or just lime away and a brush attached to a power drill. Soft Steel Bristles though. Maybe you could get in a wreck where your axle gets broke then you get a new one from lsr. Just don't say you bought it second hand from someone.
