Guess the exhaust

The guy I bought my R off of had this pipe on my R when I bought it, I cleaned it up and I couldn't seem to put a name on this thing? lol

Anyone have one like it or something close I can go by?

That's what I was thinking but didn't they have turn downs on the silencers? It's got me stumped, My buddy swears it's a OLD lrd from waaay back.. It's LOUD though I'll tell you that much, I want to change the silencer but It'd be nice to atleast know what the head pipe is so I have something to go by ya know? haha :D

It seems to be a low end pipe though my R has some balls lowend haha, not much top though my old banshee was waaaay faster lol.. :o

The silencer could have come off anything.

Might be an old LRD like you said.
The fab job looks like it could be!
I dont know if they had springs like that back in the day?

Might be able to send a pic to Arlen at LED? He would know if its one of his old LRD's!

lol I found the springs at the hardware store, they keep it together better then the little ones that were on it.. Screen doors have better springs then those things haha

I like that ESR racing silencer with the spark aresstor but I've always been a sucker for the old black lrd's with the turn downs!

I'd get rid of those springs..........They dont look like theyre even pulled taut!

I have seen LRD silencers without the turndown tip.
I currently have the LRD black turndown silencer on my ride.

They are tight enough, It's enough to bust a knuckle open if you were to slip up.

I have and old LRD from ~ 93 it doesnt look like that...

Wow what a classic, that is an lrd hand coned pipe from back in the day. It does not look like the current lrd's because they are stamped. It could even have been the prototype version which was tested by team riders for development. All pipe builders first use the hand coned method to get the design right before investing in the stamped version. I even think that is the matching silencer.

i have an aaen that looks very similar to that... the steel seems to be very thick on mine, and it also has aaen stamped accross it. thats about all i can tell you! never ran it.

I have a psi mx pipe that looks just like that.low mid pipe for mx racing.

I would say the pipe is a old PSI or bills or possibly a early Paul Turner, LRD pipes are all adjustable that one is not, the springs would never fit from one adjuster to another on a LRD

I kinda like it other then the loud silencer lol it pisses off my nieghbors in an instant! It sounds sweet though, thing deff makes that lil 250 scream lol.. :p


It kinda looks like the one Porsche guy posted but mine has an angle in and and shoots stright back, If it helps it was a raw pipe till I coated it with header paint. :)
