The color on the rims is original, are you going to change the color of the plastics? Now you need all black plastics!:D

not sure yet....haven't really thought about it. i have 3 other bikes in various stages of building, and this is just a beater bike. i saw this new paint that gives aluminum an anodized look

well if you ever feel that way I will take one off your hands for you LOL. i'll come get one tomorrow if you insist. LOL I know on the work, we have 4 atvs, 2 snowmobiles, 6 cars, 2 jetskis, 3 boats and 4 houses, we own a 3 cabin resort. Always something to work on. I have a 500 mxz blown up in my garage right now waiting to get tore apart from the beginning of the winter. Freaking ethonal gas clogged the carb and blocked most of the gas going to the left cylinder and going across the lake. It sucks, steve

i just saw this paint at AUTO ZONE last weekend and was wondering if it would work. I was going to buy a can, but changed my mind last minute. Looks cool. I think I will return this weekend and pick some up. The BLUE looked really cool too. GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!

i used that paint and its not durable at all on a quad that gets rode. not sayin yours dosent. but from what im told there is a special primar for this paint. same company. i cleared mine and the **** flaked off. the only paint i have found to not wear off is the rubberized paint. i have it on my bumper and i hit trees and **** all the time and it hold up good its been on for a year now.

i am gonna have to go with a "hell yeeeeah"
i dig it. i know you said it was a beater. but a little too much red everywhere. but the motor accents are just about right. though i couldn't get a real good look at the motor. did you paint in between the fins?

Sanddraging28

you only need the special primer if you are painting something that isn't chrome or shiny metal. i had the same problem with flaking before i read the directions....you have to use 2 real light coats then a medium coats. with 10 minutes in between coats. all coats have to be applied within an hour then you have to wait 5 to 7 days before adding any more coats.
so far this paint has been real durable. i was out riding last weekend, spent all day in the mud and the sand and when i got home i power washed that bike and its still looks good as new. i will let you guys know how it holds up.

i know its a lot of red, i am thinking about getting black plastics. i didn't do the fins yet. i did the oil tank, front engine mounts, oil filter cover, and starter gear cover. i have that bike torn down as we speak putting rings in it so i am thinking about doing the fins. thought about doing some black accents on it, a-arms, side case covers, stuff like that to contrast the red. let me know what you think

I think the black accents will break up the red nicely and look real good if you do get black plastics.
