I took 1 front brake calp and priced it from all sites here they are:

2001 400ex

Bike Bandit: CALIPER SUB-ASSY. $170.76

CheapCycle: CALIPER SUB-ASSY. $143.12

Service Honda: CALIPER SUB-ASSY. $132.34

Service Honda is the winner!

It all depends on how fast you want your parts also. There has been times that I have had service honda take up 1 week to ship. I live about 35 miles away too. Should just have picked it up.

thanks for all the info guys, but looks like nowhere else comes close to service honda...i can sacrifice waitin a few extra days for a 20-30% difference in price

most places including Service Honda do not stock the stuff you are ordering. They order it from a few regional warehouses and then send to you.

Yamaha of Troy is another good place. They beat Service Honda on some stuff like factory Honda brake pads. It is kind of a pain to break your orders down but you can save money (even paying both shipping charges). I usually just go with the one though that is cheapest for my whole order. Service Honda wins 99% of the time. Yamaha of Troy recently won an order though because I was ordering 5 sets of rear brake pads. Body parts seem to be cheaper at Yamaha of Troy too when you add in shipping charges.

Try Alba they say 40% off of retail for OEM parts.
