race gas mix question

I switched up domes on my 310pv and now get a 200 psi compression reading. Can I still use 50/50 mix of 110 and 91 octane OR do I need to use 100% 110 octane ?

50/50 would most likely be safe, 75/25 will definately be good.

if you try 50/50 listen for a rattle under heavy load at lower rpm.

u only need straight 110 if ur comp. is 14:1 or higher other then that mix is fine. if ur 12:1 or lower runnung higher octane will NOT help u gain power

I have always been told that above 200psi you should run race fuel.

if you can get the 110 use it. your reliability will be increased with race octanes.

My costs if I ran 50/50 not including oil:

Premium $2.50
110 leaded ~$5.30

Combined=$3.90/gallon

I never figured the $1.40/gallon it saved was worth chancing detonation. I have enough money wrapped up in this quad that $4 bucks more per fillup isn't really going to make a difference.

Full 110 for me.;)
