valve adjusting how much resistance??

so when i use the feeler guage, should I also be able to push a .005 into the .004? or should it be real tough? how does everyone go?

It should have a slight bit of drag or resistance with the .004.

You shouldn't be able to put a .005" gauge into .004" clearance. Set the clearances so that there is a very slight drag on the feeler when sliding it in and out. You should still be able to slide the feeler in/out though.
