One of the spokes on my brake rotor hub is cracked so I need to replace it. I got the two nuts loose but the big outside one seems to be stuck at the end of the threads. Do I just keep going or does it not even come off? Also how does the sprocket hub come off? Any help is appreciated.

there is a c clip under the lip of the big nut on the axle by the hub

yeah, run the big nut away from the outside and you'll see the c clip.

Well I got the brake hub nut off with the help of everyone above. But now I've ran into another snag. This is really a dumb question but are the wheel hub nut reverse threaded? I can't get them off for the life of me. I had an impact gun on there and everything. I sprayed them down good with PB blaster and hope that helps.

you might need a stronger impact wrench. I ran into that same problem once on my mx quad.

Yes the cotter pins are removed. I couldn't see why they would be reverse threaded but I just wanted to make sure. I'll see if I can put a big cheater bar on it today and see if that works. Thats the only impact gun I have. We'll see how things go today. Thanks guys.

last option is to carefully cut the nut off with a dremel.
Anyone remember how we did this before the dremel?
 :D

No need for a dremel here. It finally came loose. I got everything off but the sprocket hub. I can't figure out how to get that off. I see a snap ring in there but can't get it out. How do you get the sprocket hub off?

sorry, I didn't notice that in your original post...
A pneumatic press works best. You have to press it away from the c-clip, remove the c-clip, then take it off. Personally, I don't mess with this. I sent mine to RPM when I broke my sprocket hub.

by the way, why do you need to remove the sprocket hub?

Well I bought a new sprocket and a few other things for the rear and thought I'd dress it up a bit by painting the sprocket hub. I didn't realize all that was involved to take it off. I'll see if I can paint it on the axle instead.
