Hoods

does anyone make a hood for the older style 400's or do you need after market plastics.

quadtech makes a hood.. so does.. feather carbon? i think thats the name. some people use the plastic 250r maier hoods.. i'm not a fan of those at all.

yes sir. you will need to remove the lights and cut the top of the light mount where the neutral light and ignition are. heres a shot of mine sinking. plastics are stock.

so after you make those cuts were does the neutral and ignition go?

you could drill new holes or make a mounting bracket. this is my dads z400 after i relocated all the lights and ignition when he got new handlebars. you can basically put them wherever you want, as long as theres room behind the plastics.

i actually got them from a member on here, but you can get them from trailtech's website.
