With 12:5 to 1 you have to run race gas. Some will say you may get by with 93 octane (hi test) but you will be taking a chance.Go with race gas to be on the safe side.

i second that any dynamic compression pressure over 195psi needs at least 104 octane

i would just run a 50/50 mix of 91 or 93 with some 110. It doesn't have to be exactly 50/50. The trx450r has 12:1 compression. It calls for premium 91 or 93

Not to mention the 450 is water cooled letting you get away with less octane.
I run 110 in my 11:1 440, just to be on the safe side. Check out any local bulk fuel distributers. Union Distributing sells shell 110 for about 6-7 bucks by the gallon.
