ok so by friend wanted to change his axle bearings and can't get the sprocket hub off....are they all this hard to get apart?

are you refering to the part were you have to get the 2 jam nuts off?

no they are off, but the hub for the sprocket won't come off...:confused:

Take the brake side off its much easier

couldn't get that off either, we took the nut off and it just won't move

Sprocket hub should just slide off. May be rusted in the splines. Try heating the hub a little and squirting penetrating oil into the splines. I think the brake hub is pressed on and the nut is there for a safety.

ok he is going to heat it tomorrow he has been putting penetrating oil on it for 3 days now....

heat and a air hammer ,a big one, not one of them cheep ones that ya can get at walmart .
i would be very carefull about swating it with a hammer
