I know everyone is sick of jetting questions, but I need help and have been reading jetting threads for hours. I put a pure polaris slip-on on my pred and went to a 172.5 main, 4th clip on needle. Its popping at full throttle. ive read it will pop if its too rich or too lean. I havent gotten to open it up too much because there is still snow here so I can't get an accurate plug reading. any help?

I'm sorry, can't help much. Looks to me like you are pretty close!! Maybe drop down one size on the main(170).

Well thanks for the help guys. (that's me being sarcastic). I got it figured out and I think I'm on the right track. Put my own air intake on and it runs like a raped ape. Checked the plug and I think I'm still lean. A little gray in color with black carbon all around the edges.

If its still cold weather there, you are not going to get it right anyway. it should be warm, because that is how you ride MOST of the time. It makes a difference. :ermm:

Do u think it might be hitting off the rev limiter? When i put a pipe and filter on mine and changed the jets i thought mine was popping also. I took mine to my buddy who's a polaris mechanic and said it was set fine. My plug is light brown with carbon around the edge and i have a 167 mukini jet turned the air/fuel 1 turn out and never touched the needle.
