hey i was just going to let u know if u want to make some nerf bars at home its easy. just take some old tent poles. i hooked them on with hose clamps and its very sturdy. and if they get wrecked who cares! just make new ones. where the poles go together just drill a hole thought them both and put a pin in there. i just bought some straps for the webing i still have to put that on. its better than spending 100+ bucks

Ummmm, I would not trust those to protect me. They do not sound very sturdy at all. Those tent posts that you are talking about are VERY thin....I wouldnt try to push off a tree with those... :huh

SHUT up everyone, flyin 400ex, MORE power to you!!

while these guys are makin fun of you, they are forgetting that it definately took some ingenuity to build a set your self.

engineers started out building equipment by trial and error.

So I would say, If you can jump up and down on the outer most edge and nothing bends, I would say your in good shape.

next thing would be to try to use the nerfs to turn on a tree or rock.

if they hold up GOOD for you!

If they dont........ back to the drawing board. Or go get a set of AC pro pegs.

ok guys i can stand anywhere on them easily and i ran them into a tree last night. NOT EVEN A SMALL DENT!!!!! and u ppl who are laughin what is the matter with u. just cuz u know u cant even try to make them. and plus there not on my 400ex anyway. (like i would do that.) they are on my 200sx. just for the heck of it. i dont feel like spending 100+ for things i dont even need for an old quad.
