Hey everyone! Yes Im a noob to the site, and in all actuality a noob to riding! I hve an 02 300ex fully stock, and I ride woods alot. What a arms best for this? Also if i gat the regular, can i give it that low racing stance with shock relocators or is this bad news? Basically I dont know much, so any information from you guys, personal experience or technical advice is all welcomed. Thanks guys!

if your riding in the woods +4 is wayyy to big.i have +4's on my race bike and it makes it 50 inches wide with 4:1 wheels. biggest you would want for the woods is a +2 front end with 4:1 wheels so it makes you about 45 inches and it will handlebetter. for ride height, that is adjustable in your shocks and you will not need a relocaterbracket unless you go to 400ex shocks(stock or aftermarket) ;)

Let me know if you have any other questions,
Zack

A cheap route would be to put on 400ex A-arms, shocks, and get a shock relocater bracket. This way is a regular travel setup, which if you are recreationally riding would be a great improvement over stock and pretty inexpensive. Remember that you want the rear end to be nearly as wide as the front for best handling. Look in the 300ex section and you will find tons of info on this subject.

Do the 400 a-arms bolt right on or is there modications involved?

Yes, any 400ex A-arms are a direct bolt on. You will need the upper and lower arms, tie rods, a shock relocater bracket, and different shocks. 400ex, 450r, Yamaha YFZ450, and a few other shocks will also fit. Also the stock brake lines are long enough to work. I have heard 400ex and 250r spindles will fit and have better geometry.

I believe the stock 400ex arms are 1 3/8" wider per side.
