it is good at wheeling(sp?). you've seen my wheelies before i'm sure. if you haven't i'll be happy to post. they are tippy though. it's a good jumper but doesn't land very well if your jumping over 5 feet.

I wouldnt recommend one to anyone...I own one...dont ride it, havent rode it in months, it sits in the garage and collects dust.

Its a great bike for kids that are bout 12-13 and are of a proper size to ride it, but generally anyone over 15 is gonna feel a little cramped. It is reliable, does have good wheelie capabilites but it is tippy, the suspension sux, and the motor could use more power.

Its not a 400 and will never be one so dont expect it to be very impressive.

Just my .02 cents.

i have a 250ex and love it. no its not the fastest but i don't care about the speed to much. all i do is trail ride so it does just fine for me. it can do a wheelie no problem. i just have not figured out how to keep it going yet.:huh i'll work on it more next spring when there's no snow. here's a pic of me 2 days ago runing in the snow. didn't get anywhere fast but it was fun doing donuts in the street. :D

The 250 is a great bike just to fool around on. Its just not the best for jumping and theres no hihg speed riding but its just fine for trail riding. Gonna sell mine soon for a 250R

I rode my wife's 250EX a few times to break it in. It's a decent little quad. Great for trails. You won't win any drag races, but it's short wheelbase makes it pretty quick through the woods. Moderate jumps are fine, too. I'd recommend it for woods riding and just fooling around.

I had one for a little over a year and here is my review.

I beat the living **** outta this bike. Wheelie's jumps i would try anything with it. I rolled it about 15 times flipped it over backwards about ten times and it took it pretty well. I had 1 problem with it tho. Axles! I bent 4 of them! This bike got trashed i had to buy new fenders, splash gaurds, axle, clutch, touch up paint, wheelie bar, front bumper just so i could sell the damn thing but hey it was worth it i got 3000 for it and i onlys paid 3140 so its all good, i recommend it to anyone it has a great balance point and its go for stunts because it has no clutch.

I took my wifes 250EX with TURF TAMERS to the top of Sand Mountain in Utah (the wide, whooped out run, NOT the steep one!). I am not kidding, it took a long time, and I may have reduced the life expectancy, but I made it. I am not lying either! I have witnesses.

It is a fun little machine. It wheelies easy, but is a little tippy side to side. I think it is tippy because of the stock ballon tires, and no power to spin the wheels. I widened my wifes out by 5 inches, and it is much more stable. She never highsides anymore in corners.

If you already have a 400EX, you should get a Rincon or used 250R to "goof around with" It would be a lot more fun than the 250EX. You will most likely break the 250EX "goofing" around with it. The suspension is a little weak.

i'm getting Durablue wheelspacers. those ballon tires do make it tippy and it sits high and is narrow. i'm getting 2 1/2 in the back and 2 in the front. each side. which is like 5 inches in the back. and i'm getting low, flat, profile tires. so i can go faster through the corners and won't flip.

striker49, dude how old are you cuase if you own a quad and u dont ride it because it is to slow, i dont know you but you sound like a lil spoiled brat, you should step back for a sec. and look at the goood side, you could have nothin at all

All i can say is the 250ex is a great bike. and i could go on for ages how good it is but all you vould do is takle one out for yourself and see what u think of it.

my 250 is 100% stock, goes about 80kph, wheelies very well, 1st,2nd & 3rd are about as high as u can get for wheelies unless u wanna sit at the very back and use your weight and then try 4th & 5th.
Its a great all around bike, i noticed after jumping mine on a track, the front shocks do bottom out after a while but not a huge problem if u wanna a fun bike, lots of power for a 250cc engine.

lets just say this, you wont find any better 4 stroke 250 compared to this one :)

It blew up b/c i rode the*********************************************** profanity removed, read the rules or don't post************************************ out of it as the guy that rebuilt it said. And at the time it blew up, there wasnt enough oil in it which made it that much worse. It wasnt the piston that made the job hard....it was that i rode it so hard, blew the cam too, and to fix it it cost about a total of $1000. So I seriously advise you to heck your oil every time you ride.

The 250EX is a great bike to mess around on, it wheelie's very very easily, almost as easy as my 300EX do to its light front end, of course that light front end also makes it push through corners. It jumps really well but the suspension is very bouncy, the motor is very peppy though.
