oil leak

its not really a oil leak but it is the hose that runs out by the rear shock leaks oil out of it. Does anybody know why it soaks my chain down with oil. Any ideas?

Means you put a bit too much oil in it. I did that when I first got my 04R, brought it in to be checked for it. was without for 2 weeks to be told after I put too much oil in or it didn't drain all out when I changed the oil.

thats what i was figured I had left over oil so i didnt get to go right of the quart figures oh well appreciate it man

dont you use the sight glass on the case?

when i put some in it i started it up let it run for like 45 seconds and then waited a couple of minutes to let the oil run back down and then looked at the sight glass and it was right at halfway

Now I start it then wait and hour or so before I check it
sometimes it takes a while for whats up top to come down

but anyways it only quirts a bit out when you over fill it
shut it off then restart it and it should be ok after that.
