electric fan question

how long does it usually take for the electric fan to come on on an 05 450r ive had it a week and it hasnt come on yet and ive ridden for extended periods of time. does the raditiator do theat good of a job or is something wrong. Everything else on the bike works great and im worried.......

The fan is temperature controlled.
It kicks on when the coolant temp gets around 210-215F

I was always worried about the heat so I got a trail tech Vapor computer with Tach Temp and speed. I have an 05 and the fan comes on at 201F My sensor is on the upper hose going into the rad.

just ground the wire that goes to the temp sensor on the thermostat housing and then it will be on all the time and no worries

Yeah with the 05's you definatley need the fan. I have my fan running all the time.
