How much oil and tranny fluid

Guy's can you help me. I just picked up a 06 450 ER for my son, I was told 1 quart of oil, and one quart of tranny. But one quart of oil fills all the way to the cap, way past the H on the site glass. What do you use?

where did u find the thread for that ??? not to much to ask could u help me find how much to torque the head bolts down and all the other **** in my motor

I didnt know the motor and tranny took the same oil, thanks for the info..

i know alot of guys that put a quart in each side. not saying i do but alot are doing that now.

My buddy owns elite atv, which makes epr blockoff plates, his son races, anyway he takes care of my work for me and he uses maxima 80w tranny oil and 10w40 maxima oil, we put a quart in each side. buy the time a steady stream is coming out of the sight hole its almost a quart, and the motor on my 05 took almost a full quart when you fill it up after a change it will read high, start it and get it in the pump and oil lines it will drop very low, then top it back off
