I have a 09 450MXR I want to remove the light switch and install my own Starter button.
Anyone know how the wires get spliced to Make sure every thing works? I get my manual next week but I was hoping someone knew how to do it so I can get it done sooner. i took apart the switch, its like a Circuit board:grr:
Thanks

I wanted to set mine up that way as well. There are a lot of extra wires that are not needed evreywhere on the bike. I plan on either a honda thumb throttle or a Suzuki throttle. I am not going to have a growth on the sides of my hand this year. I know I have seen that somebody had used a Honda throttle but has anyone tried the Suzuki LTR one?
I have the manual electronic if you need a page im sure I could fax a copy to you.

I got a little help from John Gallagher Sr since I couldnt wait for my manual.
Get you a new Start button, Unplug both Sets of plugs on the light switch.
1 plug has 3 wires
Red/White stripe (Not used leave)
White/Red Stripe connect to one lead of your new start button.
Red/Black stripe (see below)
Other plug has 6 wires The only wire needed is the Red/Black Wire Jump this to the Red/Black on the Other plug, You will also need to hook the other lead of your Starter switch to this wire as well.
Thats it, I also put the Honda Throttle on mine
