fuel is getting to the motor? is the plug wet? what is your compression at? forget to put the rings in possibly? reeds good and not cracked? leave any rags in the intake or exhaust?.

compression is at 200psi, plug is wet, have spark outside.

race fuel hardly ever goes bad.

are you sure of the year of all your cr250 ignition components, an earlier flywheel will trigger the spark really retarded.

Why is your spark plug gap closed up so much? Even guys running stock ignitions only close them up to .018-.020 when they get weak. I thought that was the point of the CR's, a better timing curve AND hotter ignition?

I'd install a fresh plug with a wider gap, say .020?, and then dump a capful of fuel into the plug hole. If that thing doesn't at least pop, I'd be looking at that CR ignition.

How do i tell if cr ignition is different years??i'll try wider gap on plug.

Sounds like a timing issue, or ignition problem.

i would go with a idea that the pulg isnt gaps right... my 87 was like that then i got it to .18 and it started and ran like CRAP! i could hardly hit the gas then i gapped it more and bamb it was AWSOME!

i would also check your CDI box thing too them go funky sometimes

well it was the gap issue, i gapped it to .020 it fired right up.
