Do you guys buy kits, or just order jets from the local stealer?

Is K&N's Power Kit worth it? Or can I just buy an assortment of jets (#42 Pilot and 160-180 main) ?

With the K&N kit, you don't get any pilot jets. Only several mains and a new needle.

I bought the kit so that I would always have the jet that I need when I want to make adjustments. Not that I have done any.

But if you buy from the dealer your only paying for what your using. If you have your quad done mod wise, I would just buy the 1 or 2 jets that you need. That way you'll save a couple of bucks. But not all dealers stock all the jets.

You can go to a dealer and buy just jets. The kit gives you more than you need and is more expencive.

I don't think the local Stealer stocks any jets. But eth K&N Kit is like $150 and it's just a filter and some jets. I don't see the reason for the price. Are Jets that expensive?

$150 is way to high. I payed $100 plus shipping for mine, which I got the filter, outwear, and jets.

The filter you can usually get for $40
Outwear is $10
Jet kit around $50

Try Moto-man.com thats were I got mine.

Sweet, I just ordered the Power Kit from Motor-Man.com

Easy as heck. Much Impressed, but now I gotta wait :(

You say it doesn't come with a pilot jet? I'll try and go pick one up after work from the stealer.
