Gas Tank

I want to put a white gas tank on my TRX450r, but they are super expensive. So can i put an 08' white gas tank cover over my tank or will it not fit? what it I bought an OEM complete 08 gas tank will it work on my 05? or will none of this work and i'll just paint my tank white or leave it black.

not so sure if it will fit but i would not paint it had a buddy do it and the paint wont stick at all and chips super bad.

well... idk what to do cuz i dont really want to rock the black white. No one knows if an 06 tank will fit on an 05?

i just put a 06 ims tank on my 08 i had to use 06 hardparts on but every thing works , from 06 to my 08 petcock are not the same
