Hi, we were running a 24mm carb and intake on our LT80 and it ran very well. I read on here that LT80(Jack) said the aftermarket carb and intake was a no gainer, so i sold it. I thoroughly cleaned the stock carb and fabricated an intake with UNI air filter and Outerwears. It starts right up and idles but only with the choke on. And when i give it any gas it wants to bog. What am i missing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds to me like you need a smaller jet.

Theres a vacuum tube that needs to be plugged on the stock carb when running a gravity feed petcock right? Can anyone show me a pic or tell me what opening are which on the stock carb. I can't seem to find a good description of each opening and tube. Thanks.

Looks like you already have it plugged

I thought that was the oil injection inlet.

Let me see if I can find the parts manual for the carb

There is something in the carb.
Clean well and blow out all the lil holes.
One guy says he boils the carb to get stuff out. I feel that's a good idea.

vac:: on the right side of the carb, the vac is the hole closest to the motor.

edit:: I JUST SAW::::Your missing the black plastic insulator that goes between the carb and reed cage. It could suck air.

Ok, i got the carb torn back apart and am giving it a cleaning and shooting compressed air through it. Thanks for the good eye on the insulator. Thanks for the info! Apppreciate it.
