I dont think so, im not 100% though. The cases on the trx are alot wider than the crf, im sure there is a few other differences also.

The front engine mounts will need some fab.

The trx front mount is lower using like triangular shaped mounts to the frame.

The crf front mount is higher needing horn shaped mounts.

Thats the best I can describe it, but nothing a little fab won't fix. After all, what's a hybrid without some custom fab. work?

true, i just need to find a way to justify my keeping my hybrid and making sure it runs good... i've had too many problems with overheating not wanting to start after a period of running... but thats the crf450r for ya...

don't take this the wrong way, but wouldn't it be easier to properly tune your hybrid, than to swap motors? I've had half a dozen CRF hybrids, just need to get the jetting correct, and a working hot start, and they run and start excellent, even on the hottest days.

And, as long as you don't idle them long, and keep moving, they don't over heat too much.

you make a great point... but it might also have something to do with where you live??? but i'm by no means experienced enough to tune these carbs... if you can give some tips... that would be great... i aslo just got a thicker radiator for it... any help would be apreciated...

I have ridden in most of the states, and I spend two weeks a year in glamis riding, and usually about a week in Idaho, at St. Anonthys dunes. I also used a 250 radaitor, oversized of course. And I have had the best luck with the ones that Janssens sells. They are made by PWR I think, and have both inlet and outlet on the shifter side of the quad. This alllows a guy to run an inline cooler or two, on the way from the pump to the raditor.

As for jetting, hard to say, but remember that a richer motor will run cooler than a motor that is jetted lean. It takes some fine tuning, but if the quad drips a little when you are sitting there idiling, so be it. I have always used Engine Ice coolant, which is supposed to be some of the best on the market, and, is bio-degradeable/pet freindly. Also, a overflow bottle helps, just a little more capacity too

Also keep in mind that even the brand new CRF bikes ran very hot, if they idled long, they would overheat. So if you keep your idle time to a minimum, you should be good
