View Full Version : Why is it so hard to get warranty work done???

Ive talked to numerous dealers in the area about the recall on the DS450 and the service bulletin on the clutch.... Not one of them has a clue about the recall nor have they fixed any of the 08's there still selling what gives?

One dealer told me the parts for the recall are on back order can anyone check this??? Can Ams Service is turining into a joke.....:mad:

join the club. im the only one who has bought a DS450 from my dealership. they dont know anything. i have to tell them what to do basically and the only reason i know is because of this forum so Kudos to all you people. iv been wainting over a month for a stupid drill bit and motor mount stuff

Not only do they not know about the recalls they can't get the parts. BRP is very bad in the parts department. I waited 3 months for my recall parts and they are still waiting for my clutch cover. :mad:

i went into my local dealer last fri to see if any of the recalls applied to my quad they just tipped in my vin and found that the flywheel and motor mount recalls applied and ordered the parts and they came in this morning and they are doing the work today and i should have it back tomorrow or friday

same prob here. my dealer wouldnt even check till i went in and sat over his shoulder, then magically there is a recall. go figure.

my local dealer told me that they have already done a couple of these but i never would have know about them if i hadent read about them here

if you guys are having problems with your local dealer the contact canam and find out who your local rep is and contact him the rep has the power to get crap done

Call my dealer I gotten 09 xtra clutches(hub, basket, plates), relays, BRP tools, etc, never waited more than a week and now they are hoked up to get Warnert race teams parts.

Thanks TNT1 the problem is getting the drill bit to do the work on my own......And I called that Can Am number but no one answers for the last week.....

I haven't seen the bulliten. Whats the deal you need a real long metric drill bit for the engine mount hole?
