i am thinking about build another 400ex. i was wondering if anyone has used the JE 13 to 1 426 piston with a hot cams Stage 2. i saw the piston the other day and the dome on it is unbelievable....i am a little worried about the valves hitting it.....any thoughts????
check with both companies and see. sometimes valve reliefs need to be cut more but i cant imagine with stock sized valves you would need that

i called both companies and got the same answer " we dont keep track of other companies specs!" there advice "put it together and start it...if it runs everything clears"
put a layer of clay on the piston and rotate it by hand. then look at the clay or feel for any binding.

we had a 421cc piston with 13:1 compression and a big web cam and it worked fine. 421 is a custom made piston from je that one our buddys shops has specially made. i think u would be ok but i would check with the clay test before i put it together and chewed up the piston, valves, and head.
