proper clutch adjustment

Well, this kinda goes along with my other post, but after i try my other clutch cable, what is the proper way to adjust the clutch? I know I need about an 1/8 of an inch free-play at the lever, correct me if this is wrong. But what is the proper way to adjust the cable down on the lever at the case, should it have play/movement? Thanks for the help, atleast untill my manual arrives.

I have mine so its kind of snug, you can feel it pull right away. I like my clutches real sensative because its easier when racing around and less to grab. I dont like when clutches seem to drag out like the lver is huge I have it quick and tight. I dont know off hand what I have it to but theres no play. As soon as you move the lever a little bit you see the arm sticking out of the case move.
