ehhhhhhh.

Coming from a banshee owner, I love my banshee. And I don't think it's all half bad in the trails, but if I was strictly racing XC I would be looking elsewhere.. They're not horrendous in the woods but it doesn't compare to my 400ex in the tight stuff where the bottom end comes into play.

They can be made capable. Shocks, 2-1 pipe, etc, but it's not worth it. Banshee's are designed to scream, you would be destroying the nature of the beast.

If you're looking for a cheap xc racing quad, then theres two you should look at.
The 250r and the 400ex.
250r has an edge for power but the 400ex is awesome in the woods.

The Z/KFX/DVX are also good quads. They have a little more snot then the 400ex's.

They're all the same, with the AC having different plastics.

Yup.
The z/kfx/dvx are all identical clones. All the parts cross over, and engines are the same. Plastics are the only difference, and the kawi is the same but different color.

i may look for one of the 400's for xc. all im really looking for is a good handling quad and anything going to be an upgrade from the handling of my quad i have right now.

people have raced them in cross country pro like: Kim Kulhne. they tend to overheat in woods when its muddy though.
