I'm putting my son's predator 50 back together and can't figure out the kickstart return spring. I know the hook end catches on the post that's made into the case, but where is the other end of the spring suppose to attach? Any pics of the inside of the side cover would be helpful. Thanks!

The other end catches the kicker gear. It's a real pain so be very patient. I use long screw drivers. I hook the gear first then work my way around and hook the other hook of the spring on the post. GOOD LUCK!

What part of the gear does it push against? I tried winding it up and letting it catch on a couple different things but it's a PITA. Thanks for the reply BTW.

It hooks as far to the inside of the large gear as it can, close to the kicker shaft. Once you start to tighten it, the gear will go to its rest point when not in use. It will be tight and not easy to pull around to the post. Hope this helps.
