i agree, i tend to post less just because im afraid to piss someone off and cause an argument for NO reason.

Its crazy, almost EVERY thread turns into some heated argument that usually has nothing to do with the original posting!

like buck440, totally pointless post for no reason, just makes people angry and start fights. its rather annoying when i just want to find information, but people make that near impossible when all the threads turn into huge arguments or people just tell you to search it yourself instead of posting something useful!

your right that was completely useless of me to post that first of all. second, half or more of the post is people disagreeing with each other which i think is just fine as long they don't curse like crazy or threaten anybody in any way cause thats what you get with all this testostrone, quads and guys who have diff opinions, it's kinda expected. third, when people say search they might be better off so the less chance of a thread going bad like alot of them do because most of the time the topic has been discused many times

agreed. i try to avoid the open forum now, unless its something thats not controversial.. even nice threads are going bad lately because of a few new members. i still love this site though. ;)

i used to be a pain in the *** here...and now i keep quiet and just read and take in stuff and just type in when needed...

i wish i posted more often but a lot of threads in the open i dont care for or dont feel like posting up on. but i think i should get more active here and other sections of the site. i could be helpful to others...

LOL..Josh sounds like every Mod I have ever signed up...for the first month. Then you grow tired of dealing with the exact same issues and the pm's stop, threads start getting locked and then its straight to banning some of these clowns.

Consider this place my house, I will throw your *** out of here just as fast as if you were here in person, so mind your manners and treat people with some civility. If not, you wont be escorted out, you will be billy clubbed and drug to the curb. lol first month! I've been doing this forever, just started crackin down on more arse clowns then I use too back in the olden days lol.. I'm that unda cova brotha.. It's like thinnin out the deer population, you don't start really blasting till the imbreds and retarded ones come about.. haha :blah:

Ive been "one of those kids" quite a few times myself, so I guess im being a bit of a hypocrite, but some of these people push it to the limit with thier piectures and the things they say...

Like the pic in the tattoo thread with the guy flipping off the camera... the 10 and 12 year olds on this thread dont need to see that kind of stuff (even though they probably do it themselves...)

Youll get your fill of banning spmmers and those damn porn posters (especially the spambots) that banning a member happens alot less then you think.

Advertising rules are straight forward and simple. If a company spams or is being linked to and they are not a paid advertiser, then it is to be removed. There arent any exceptions really to that rule, just use your best judgement.

There are only a few websites that we allow to be linked to, and those are the ones that we work with. This isnt a personal thing, its based on our business model. There isnt a real list, but youll get the hang of it quick and you can always ask in the mod forum or hit me on aim.

The typical rules are to be enforced, youve been here long enough to know how that all goes.

Have fun, try not to take any of the BS personal and thanks for helping us keep the place clean.

Sorry for posting all this here, but it might do some good for others to see exactly what we do and what we expect you to do.

Dont be scared to pull the trigger on any member that is obviously here just to start trouble. Ive always stated that I would rather have 20 good members then 2000 A-holes. Ofcourse that doesnt mean deplete the site of its members, but if someone is out there...ditch them. And eventually you will have those that will dislike you. If they give you grief, ditch them as well, your expected to be here and if they cant ignore you then escort them out of here.

Im sure you know of a few right off the bat but settle in before testing out your new found super powers:p (Its not as fun as you think, youll learn that real fast) You will find 95% of your time doing mod stuff will be moving threads posted in wrong sections, cleaning up spam, removing posters that want to sell viagra at 4 am or the poster who joins and his first post is of a guy with something placed somewhere that God didnt intend for things to be ..uh...placed.

Welcome aboard Josh. Be prepared to be receiving many email notifications every day. You'll spend a lot of time moving threads around like Ken said and then you get to deal with the odd idiot once in a while ... but not TOO often. As Ken said ... the first month is the honeymoon period where you'll find yourself PMing members and telling them what they're doing is wrong ... then you just move on to deleating their threads .... then you don't care anymore and find out it's always the same members causing problems and you just Ban them. It's been done a few times before.

You'll see that a site this big requires a lot of maintenance and janitorial work .... put the rubber boots on .. there's a lot of chit to wade through... but you'll get the hang of things.

you didnt miss the head on the nail by much though lol.. I'm usually covered from head to toe in grease or sanding dust from work lol :p :o
